John James Audubon was always trying to convey as much information as possible about the birds habitats through his illustrations. The Wood Duck is a perfect example of this, in that Wood Duck are cavity nesters, they nest in trees.

This is a unique feature of the Wood Ducks lifestyle that Audubon was able to translate through his drawing. This Princeton Edition was printed on heavy, acid free, museum quality paper using specially designed archival inks. It is a fine art edition strictly limited to 1500 prints. All Princetons are hand numbered and bear an embossed seal in the lower margin of the print.

Measurements: Overall: 26 1/4 x 39 1/4 Image size: 24 x 37 1/4. Frame size 36 inches by 48 inches, will hand deliver up to 200 miles. The Princeton Audubon Edition is one of the finest limited editions of Audubons work available. Printed on high quality, archival paper, these prints are truly museum quality. Each print measures 26 1/4 inches by 39 1/4 inches, true to the original Double Elephant size that John James Audubon used in his great work The Birds of America.

The images were drawn to life size, creating dramatic, true to scale illustrations. Princeton Audubon chose nearly forty images to reproduce, limiting the printing of each image to 1500 (with the exception of the White Pelican, which was printed in an edition size of 500). Utilizing a printing process called direct transfer, Princeton Publishing was able to capture the colors with true fidelity to the original engravings from which the prints were made. These are true color lithographs, in which up to eleven color plates were used to apply the color to each print. As seen in the New York Times, these limited edition Audubon prints will add great beauty to your home or office. The item "Wood Duck, Plate 206, from Birds of America by John J.
