VINTAGE WW I FIXED BLADE TRENCH FIGHTING KNIFE MADE FROM A BAYONET. Okay military collectors, here's a classic for your consideration. Overall it is 10 5/8" with a 6 1/8" Blade. It is well a proportioned and balanced knife, even though it looks to have been cut down from a bayonet.

The hand fit, the blade weight and overall balance when held in the hand, just feels like it's ready for action. I served in Army Intelligence during the Viet Nam "Police Action" and never saw combat, but if I had, this would have been a great knife to carry. It was owned by 2nd Lt.

Wallace who served in France in World War I, and his family believe he was involved in the Meuse Argonne campaign, but they are not certain. Please let me know if you have further questions or would like specific photographs. This sale is for the knife only, there is no sheath with it. I figure once you've paid for something, you own it, and might as well have it as soon as you can.
