Vintage Wood Folk Art Carving of Dinosaur circa 1950 from Maine

  
I found this incredible piece of folk art sculpture of a dinosaur at an estate sale in Maine about twenty years ago- actually found tucked away in the barn! The base is 10" long by about 5" wide, the dinosaur is 7 1/2" tall and 3 1/4" at width of arm spread and 11' long overall.

Made of carved and painted wood mounted to a piece of paneling. Very hard to determine date, all i can base it on that there were a few other carvings in the main house; they were tagged as done in the 1950s by a family relative running the sale. Their relative was an elderly man. Amazing detail and folk style.

Also there appears to be a mark where something else was attached to the panel base. This item is in the category "Art\Other Art". The seller is "4x51955" and is located in this country: US.
