A vintage folk art Masonic wood carving from Lookout Mountain in Tennessee. The piece features a hand carved Freemason symbol of the Square and Compass along with the initials F. The compass also has two flowers carved on it. Vintage, unsure of age, but likely 1920s or 1930s based on style. There is a natural roughness to the wood that includes a hole and surface cracks. Appears structurally sound and displays well.
The artist has carved out the interior so it could be used to hold objects. The shape resembles a vase, but the wood would likely be damaged if filled with water.
Measures just under 9 3/4th inches tall.
