VINTAGE (1700s) BRITISH AXE WITH SWORD (CUTLER) MAKER'S MARKS. This beautiful piece of British history is 14" long overall with a 5" head and a 5 blade, weighs 1.25 pounds, and dates back to the 1700s. There are several marks on the blade including two sword (cutler) maker's marks and a keyhole cutout. I don't know if the handle is original or a replacement, but in either event it was very well mounted and is still solid as a rock. As you see in the photos, it is in very good condition with a slight separation of the weld at the top of the head.
