This is a unique piece of art, carved out of a knarl in a small wood branch. The branch is covered in a fine white bark, while the rest is black. It makes the basis for the primitive carving of an arm and leg coming out of the rest of the structure that is carved from the natural wood. I must say that there are many things I don't know about this piece. I don't know the year, the culture it comes from, the area of the world where it was made.
I don't know the artist or what it represents. Also you'll see in the last picture it looks like a stem was cut off at the bottom so it will sit up straight (sideways, as pics show) for display. Please look at the photos carefully; they are part of the description. From a smoke free, pet free home.
Thanks for looking, and let us know if you have any questions.
