They are approximately 19.5 inches wide x 13.2 inches high. These panels are each ornately carved on top with sunrays, floral designs and a dragon carved on each. Side of a double headed eagle. Sicily has had a long history of rule by the Byzantine Empire and The Holy Roman Empire as well as influence by immagrants from Albania and Greece all of whom used a double headed eagle in their standards. Dragons are known to have been the subject of carvings on these carts also.
Both panels have a different Medieval battle scenes painted in polychrome paint. They have wear commencerate with use and age. Condition exactly as on photos, please examine for details.
