First half of 20th century (a guesstimate) lacquer artwork on wood, inscribed/signed in what looks like Burmese to me at lower middle/left. I don't know it it's signature or a description as my Burmese is 10 times worse than my Japanese (I speak ONE word of Burmese and 10 Japanese - all from The Shogun). Size 40x30cm (15.75x11.8).
Has minor surface scratches/scuffs, normal for lacquer work, but condition is generally very good. Provenance/certificate of authenticity will be mentioned in the description, if any. If an item is listed as "signed so & so" it means this is what I see and I have not done any research, usually because of lack of time. There is a difference between originality and authenticity.
An item may be original but not authentic and vice versa. Items framed and under glass have not been examined out of the frame unless otherwise stated. Oil/acrylic: I use the general term "oil" unless specifically stated otherwise.I use the general term watercolo. R on all water based paints/dyes/pigments.
Most items are pre-owned so expect normal wear and a need to clean the item. Anything major will be noted.
Sizes are fairly accurate but consider them as approximate. This item is in the category "Art\Paintings". The seller is "pandos1" and is located in this country: CY.
