Rare Japanese Antique Chemist Billboard Sign Wood and Iron from Edo Period

  

An incredibly beautiful and rare large wood/iron billboard which was a former chemist sign, before western medicine was introduced to Japan throughout the Edo Period (1603 - 1868). It was a singular businesses advertisement outside their store.

Can be hung or leaned against a wall. Belongs in a museum or to a collector. Weighs approx 10kg Approx 1m x 1m circumference.
