SALVA GED WOOD, featuring EARLIER 19TH CENTUR Y, LATHE-TURNED WOODEN D RAWER PULLS, PAINTED in BLACK LACQUER. Early 20th century, Pre-WWII, Great Depression era Ame ri can Folk Art vintage handmade wooden cabinets & shelving made from found wood box fruit advertising crates. 11 3/4" Width x 6" Height x 8 3/4 Depth. Offered is this fantastic, absolutely exciting, early 20th century Ame ri can folk art vintage, small, two-tone, two-drawer, upright wooden chest of drawers, made completely out of found wood box advertising crates and salvaged, found wood pieces. The lathe-turned, black lacquer painted wooden finial drawer pulls are period and were fashioned in the mid to late 19th century and were added to the wood box crate's long sidewall, which in turn became the chest's drawer facia boards. The two-drawer chest of drawers features nailed construction. All the original wooden drawer pulls are present, as are the two drawer bottoms and chest backing board. Conceptually beautiful with the two-tone wood finish. The darker, cordovan, reddish-brown stained outer frame of the chest of drawers contrasts nicely, with the drawer facia from the wood box crates being lighter toned wood.
