Purvis' paintings were always portraying the quest for Freedom. This painting has Freedom Warriors on the Freedom Horses with Angels. These Freedom Horses all have stance'Pride' with their heads held high.

The Freedom Warriors sitting with their shields lowered along with the spear. The Angels are above the warriors and Horses are upside down as in the saying "head over heels" happy. However, in my opinion, I believe that the figures that painted in black (upside down) are Freedom Warriors. That were lost in their fight for Freedom.

One White figure next to the black figure has a red dot on the face. Non of the other figures have a red dot..

Purvis always painted with purpose.. That red dot is a symbol. Purvis painted symbols in his paintings for us to find his story.
