If you are Looking for a true English Oak Lingerie Chest, here it is! It appears to be the original finish on the chest My guess would put it made around 1920 or before judging the wide cut dovetailed joints on the drawers. It has a sweet backsplash and a skirt on three sides of the bottom with tapered legs. It is sturdy and is ready to use.

The backsplash will be removed when the item ships. You will need a "flathead" screwdriver to reattach the backsplash to the chest. The top is about 20 3/8" X 14 1/4" " and about 37 1/4" tall to the top of the cabinet and 39 3/4 to the top of the backsplash. The body of the chest is about 18 1/2" X 13". Each drawer is about 16 7/8" X 12" and about 2 7/8 deep. It is about 11 1/4 from the skirt to the floor. It has a Dark Honey Oak patina to it. It has some dings, some scratches and blemishes (dark/light spots) to the finish on the top and legs.. It has been thoroughly cleaned and a coat of wax put on it. There is no rot or worm damage to any of the wood. The Character and the Look of this little chest is very nice to me for a piece of furniture from this ones period.
