Nice Ceremonial war/hunting club from NewBritain people 19th early 20th century
Very nice carved war/hunting club with at the top a human face. Origin (made in): New Britain or the High lands of Papoea New Guiné. Material: wood, stone mace head, small shells and tiny european beads, and what is rare a small piese of iron at the top. Century, the mace head is much older than the early 20th. Provenance: This week we will sell a private collection from the Netherlands 1960this, Gallery Joop Fellius in Delft, 1960this, prived collection Mist. From Pijnacker, by deceased 2008.
Size: High 57,6 cm / 22.5'' inch. Wide: 12,6 cm / 4.9''inch. Condition: Good, no cracks or repairs, nice patina of old age. We are located in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
