Mid-century modern telescoping book shelf from Switzerland

  
Mid-century telescoping book shelves, in great condition from Switzerland. Works great as a room divider or against the wall. Most likely 1960s maybe 1970s.

Black telescoping metal poles, some scratches on them. They extend from 233 cm minimum to ca 285 cm maximum (necessary compression of the spring is included in this maximum measurement). The shelving boards are all clean and the lamination is in great condition. A couple of them are slightly bowed.

4 boards measuring: 87x30 cm. 5 boards measuring: 87x24 cm. This is a genuinely rare item.

The shelves are currently completely disassembled and in clean, dry storage. Local pick-up in Park Slope, Brooklyn, NY.

Assembly required: Brackets need to be screwed onto the boards - screw holes are in place, and all screws are provided. The brackets then slot into holes in the poles, so you can arranged the shelves at any which height your desire. Recommended to set up with 2 people, although it is possible to do it alone.
