Again, it's weird- and again, that's why I like it. This is a super early carving of a deer. It is circa 1890's- hand carved- and certainly one of a kind. It has lost two feet, the tip of it's tail and the tip of it's antler.

It is still stunning and gorgeous. I have it sitting up on a candlestick here to photograph - but I feel an art sculpture stand - a real one- would really be beautiful. I love the cracking of the wood, the crackle of the paint- the whimsy of it all. I think it is of oak. Measuring:20 1/2" tall x 16" side to side and 4 deep.
