Large Antique 1800s Fur Trade Knife-Blade From File-Copper Rivets-Ebony

  

Large antique hand forged fur trade era knife or buffalo knife that is 15 1/2 inches long with a 10 and 3/4-inch clipped carbon steel blade. The knife has a lead ferrule with a dark ebony wood handle that has two copper rivets holding the wood to the tang. The blade was made from a file as you can see on the tang and is flexible like many trade knives were made........

No makers marks but shows good age...... A nasty looking old trade knife in excellent condition.....
