Idoma Tribal Spirit mask From South-East Nigeria African Artifact

  
Spirit Mask Idoma tribe from south-East Nigeria. Associated with funeral rites, it features a face coated with white clay called Kaolin, a mark of traditional keloids with a nice carved dentition. A very light light wood emerges under the remains of white pigments.

Notice the chips on the bottoms of the mask. You will find wear throughout including chips and cracks.

Overall good condition for age. Notice the wear to the nose, teeth also the backside top and bottom of the mask.
