Natural edges with wonderful textures in the edge. Deep color-tones in this piece, which is a characteristic of Ancient Kauri wood that comes from the area of the tree-trunk just underneath the bark. It has been stained to this deep hue after thousands of years buried in the ground. Nice iridescence showing a great shimmer in this piece. While beautiful in it's current state, if desired, this will polish and finish-up to be a true beauty!
