Hand Craved "Jiggs and Maggie". Jiggs and Maggie are characters in Bringing Up Father , an American comic strip created by cartoonist George McManus.

The comic Strip ran for 87 years, from January 2, 1913, to May 28, 2000. Jiggs walking cane has been broken and glued back together (I bought it this way 20+ years ago).

Nicks in wood carving as seen in photos. I haven't tried to clean them. Maggie's earrings are intact and original (they hang on original threads and dangle with movement). Wood is of unknown species. Jiggs is 4 3/4" tall and 2 1/4" wide at the shoulders.

Maggie is 5 1/2 tall. NOTE: Comic book cover, shown in last picture, is not included in sale.
