Hand Carved Bible Dox Dated 1770 in French from Solid Log or Beam. Carved box made by David Borel, Inscribed (TRANSLATED) Made on 13th of April Year 1770 David Borel, Son, David. Carved from single board, has an old iron hinge with square cut nails, other hinge is a leather. The wood spit and the repair is close to the age of the box, cross piece is attached with wood pegs, other repairs are old hand made staples. Box is 18" wide by 11" by 5.25 tall.
