HAND CARVED AFRICAN PUNU OKUYI. Fantastic Looking African Punu Okuyi? Has a reed weaved wrapping on back edge of mask. 15 inches high & 8 inches wide and weighs 2.5 pounds. Just right for a display piece. This is one of a few I have left & it is nice. Mask is in good to very condition with no major defects of note. A few places in the reed weaving have cracked & separated but it has little effect on the appeal of the mask. I took multiple pictures for your consideration. I only gently dusted it off, so you may wish to clean. It had a bit of a musty odor, as if it had been hanging or stored somewhere for a very long time. Was bought from a large collection of antique & vintage African tribal artwork, sculptures, statues and masks. The identification of the mask is based on it's comparison to. I encourage all buyers to do their own research on any vintage item, collectible, artifact or other.
