EGKH-13 Inches Bhojpure Historic Kukri-Hand made Kukri Knife From Nepal

  

This is 13 Historic BhojPure Kukri, This type original battle kukris were made prior to 1890. Some were made much earlier, but its difficult to determine the exact date. This is same kukri made by Ex Gurkha khukuri house with modification.

Each kukri is hand made; the steel was smelted, forged, shaped and hammered in Nepal by individual Kamis. As spears and the Kora sword were being replaced by firearms, the kukri was the weapon of choice for hand-to-hand combat.

The BhojPure is popular among Nepalese because of it brings good fortune and prosperity, but in the skilled hands of the Gurkha, it became a frightening weapon indeed. These have all seen service with both the Nepali military and the British Army. Blade Size and Type 13 inch (33.02cm) Handmade and Unpolished blade. Handle Circumference 4.3 inch Handle Size and Type 5 inch (12.75cm) Rosewood tail tang handle.
