Early Primitive Handmade Decorative Woodpegged Wheel from Old Cart PR722-M

  
EARLY PRIMITIVE WOODPEGGED WOOD WHEEL. This is a beautifully made old wood wheel from a cart. (I would love to see the cart this wheel was from). It is very decorative and is joined with large wood pegs rather than nails. There are cuts all around the outer edge. Not sure what the purpose is for that, but could be for traction or to prevent the wheel from warping. This wheel would make a really beautiful piece of wall art. This wheel measures approx 19-1/2" in diameter X 1-5/8" thick.
