You are viewing a very old stool from deep in the Bush of West Africa. The stool is 18" high and 10" across. It has 4 legs, each leg having carvings depicting three human face masks and three snake masks.
There is a geometric design on the top. The stool is carved out of a solid piece of wood.
It has a honey brown color. There is some wear, as it has been used in the African bush. There are also a couple of cracks that do not seem to affect structural integrity. This is a very unique item and one of a kind. It's the perfect height for an end table in your den or office. This stool had quite a journey between its original location and the market where I found it, then another epic trip from the bush market back to the US via backpack, motorcycle, bush bus then finally across the ocean on a jet.
