On the lid of the case, a large bronze plate engraved with the brand name of the KodiaK Classic American Fighting Knives Collection and the specific name of the collection contained in the case- The Bowie Iron Mistress Classic American Fighting Knife. This unique, historically important, and heroically proportioned set of Bowie Knives was handmade in the early-1980s by the KodiaK blademaster team, with legendary blademasters Doug Brack and Jim Ferguson in the lead.

Doug and Jim were both members of the blademaster dream team that designed and created the KODIAK Classic American Fighting Knives Collection, featuring the traditional Bowie, American Fighter, and Arkansas Toothpick-the three iconic fighting knives of the Antebellum/Civil War/Reconstruction periods. The Walnut Presentation Case is a museum-quality objet d'art itself. Handmade by one of the leading craftsmen in the manufacture of Antebellum and Civil War period weapon presentation cases, this case features: premium, treated American Walnut wood; antique solid brass fixtures to properly secure the case and facilitate its safe transportation; lined, fitted receptacles for the knives, and an upholstered and padded lid interior to protect and secure the knives in place.

The exterior of the lid features a bronze plate engraved with the brand name of the Kodiak Classic American Fighting Knives Collection, and the specific name of the Knife contained in the case: The Arkansas Toothpick. This museum-quality Iron Mistress Bowie Set and its Presentation Case have been kept sealed in corrosion-inhibitor, Mil-Spec Cosmoline paper, and temperature-controlled storage for more than 30 years. The knives have never been used for any purpose whatsoever, and their perfect sharp edges have not been touched since their original sharpening by the Blademasters who created it. Both the knife and its formal presentation case are in MINT condition.
