Box of beautifully carved ebony wood from colonial India times

  
Solid ebony wood box (probably used on a large desk) from northern India dating from British Raj period. Intricately carved in relief in scrolling foliate pattern on all 4 sides and on the top. Name of owner vaguely visible in clear medallion on top of box as well as in Hindi script inside the box. Box dimensions: 16" x 7.5" x 4.75.
