Please note this is an extremely well made knife. Most of the dirt on the knife itself, is either, or at least it looks like old blood, a little bit of rust, dirt, grime, and stains, but I think it all come out, in my opinion. Please note this is exactly the way I found this item, I did not try to clean it, or change it in any way whatsoever, all I did is take pictures.
These items will clean up really, really, nicely if that's what you choose to do, or you can just leave it alone, and add it to a really cool collection, either way this is a fantastic find, and would be a great gift, for any collector or any collection. This item was found on the east coast of the United States, the Maryland area to be exact. Now there is one large Bowie knife, two side knives, and a sheath that goes with this fantastic set, which is really cool.
The knife itself is approximately 14 inches Long at the longest point, and it's extremely well made, there's absolutely NO shaking in the knife or the handle itself, which is awesome. This Bowie knife is a thick knife, very heavy, and very very well made. The Bowie knife is made of some type of extremely strong , steel/metal, the handle is made of brass and wood, I don't know what kind of Steel this is, but it's extremely well made, I have no idea what year this was made, or where it was made, kind of looks like it may have been made in Nepal, ASIAN, Japanese, or Middle Eastern, actually could be anywhere. I honestly don't know, I'm just trying to be extremely honest with you, but I do know this is a very well made set, and I think it's pretty old.The 2 little side knives have no shaking in the handle, or the knife itself, and the handles are both made of wood, the small side knife's do have some Nicks and cracks in the handle, but still solid. The sheath itself is made of brass and wood, and it looks like it has some sort of old velvet, or velor cloth over the wood, very soft and very sharp looking that for sure, also the sheath is a wild purple color, which is really cool.
Please note these items are all used items, so there are scratches, stains, dust, rust, dirt, blood stains, cracks, and nicks, but that's all to be expected for as old as these items are. Like I said before I don't know the year these were made, or who may have made these, or what country they came from, but these are super cool knives, and I hope these go to a great collector who enjoy these items as I did. If you know about these knives, I would love to hear from you, just for my knowledge, if you have the time. If you have any questions at all, or you need more pictures, feel free to contact me.Thank you so much for looking and good luck.
