Antique Shan / Burmese Seated Wood Buddha Figure from Myanmar / Thailand

  

This is a wonderfully rustic Antique Primitive Seated Wood Buddha Figure from the Shan State in Burma / Border of Thailand. The estimated age of this figure dates from the late 18th Century. He was was an avid collector of Wood Buddhas and actively pursued the best examples he could find from reputable dealers in Bangkok. This is a particularly nice example. The Buddha figure has particularly elongated hands & fingers.
