Antique Original Black Painted Bent Wood Box from Sweden. There is an aged grace that comes from items that have been used, handled and appreciated through multiple generations such as you see in this hand-crafted box. Notice the bent wood that forms the sides, hand-carved handle and side peg "locks" which were originally painted red and now only residual paint remains. Paint has been worn off/distressed throughout the black box, the top is worn down to natural wood and stained throughout, expected scratches/marks are also visible. You will see an age-related separation of the 2 planks that form the top, but this does not impact its fuctionality as the top is solid. This original black painted bentwood box has been cleaned and waxed and is ready to be enjoyed by a new generation.
