This is one of the finest butcher blocks you could find from the early 20th Century. It belonged to a German Butcher by the name of Valentine Borger who had his butcher shop probably in the 1920s and early 30s in what is today the West Kensington section of Philadelphia. Dimensions are 34.5" high by 24" width and depth.
The hardwood has not been touched or refinished in any way and is in the same condition as it was around 100 years ago.
