This listing is for a hand crafted African witch catching mask from Nigeria. It is made of one piece of wood that has been hand carved into an elaborate portrait mask. This Yoruba mask features a female Mother face with a downward gaze and scarification on her cheek. There is a serpent wrapped around her face and the headdress is a trio of birds. Her face is painted bright red anf the legs of the birds are bright yellow.

There are holes drilled on either side of the mask for attaching to head. It measures 19" X 8 1/2". Condition: There are chips and dings in the paint, especially on the sides.
