Aboriginal Hardwood Throwing Club from New South Wales. This item is a very old hardwood club from New South Wales. This type of club has a bulbous head and a chiseled handle grip on the pointed end. It is often called a throwing club but I think it was used without being thrown. Sometimes, this type of club is called a Nula Nula. It was made in the 19 th Century using stone tools. The entire length has very fine longitudinal grooving made by stone tools. The circumferential grooving on the handle may have been chiseled using metal tools? This club is in very nice condition. There are very few marks from impact and no cracks.

The two ends are slightly blunted. It is one of the nicest Aboriginal clubs I have seen. Length = 58 cm ; Weight = 323 gm.

I no longer add artifacts to my collection. Check out my other auctions to see my other artifact sales. I will be listing more in the near future. I often list similar items in other categories.

Most of my listings include collectibles from the Panama Canal Zone, artifacts, books, stamps and coins. This includes boomerangs, license plates, molas, celts, slings and Aboriginal items.

If an item does not sell, I often relist it within a month at a lower price.
