A monumental Aboriginal carved handicraft Emu circa 1935 made from Mulga Wood. Northern South Australia 59cm high and the largest of its type I've seen.
As far as I know is no definite attribution of which Aboriginal group made these. Possibly several including Pitjantjatjara and Andyamathanya. Please look at the images carefully as they form an important part of the listing and give a good idea of condition.
