THIS IS SHAPED LIKE A SMALL TRUNK. IT IS HAND PAINTED AND DECORATED.

HAS A WONDERFUL SHADE OF BLUE FOR THE BACKGROUND AND FLOWERS AND BIRDS FOR DECORATION. THERE IS A WHITE BORDER AROUND EACH SIDE. THE BACK DOES NOT HAVE PAINT AND I DON'T KNOW IF IT IT ORIGINALLY OR HAS WORN OFF. THE LOCK IS HAND MADE AND MISSING THE LOCK AND THE BOTTOM HALF OF THE LATCH. THE HINGES ARE PINS AND ORIGINAL.

IT IS HELD TOGETHER WITH SMALL SQUARE NAILS. THERE IS SOME HARDEN WAX ON THE INSIDE OF THE BOX. THE BOX IS DOME SHAPED AND LOOKS LIKE A SMALL TRUNK. IT'S MEASUREMENTS ARE 7" TALL 10" IN LENGTH AND6 1/2 IN WIDTH.

THE PIECE IS WONDERFUL AND VERY PRIMITIVE. NOT INSIDE SAID IT COMES FROM NORMANDY. A WONDERFUL PIECE FOR THE COLLECTOR OR ANYONE. JUST CAME OUT OF AN ESTATE.
