Would love this to find a good home! Rare 19th century (1800's) antique camel saddle from Pakistan.
Hand constructed of wood and various metals. Has beautiful and intricate metal detailing throughout. Excellent craftsmanship, a work of art in my opinion!! I've never seen one before and doubt I ever will again.
Has felt and rubber pads on the ends so that it can be displayed by leaning against the wall as shown in photos. The front sides of the saddle are adorned with what appears to be brass or copper hand-carved detailing, and the inside or backside of the saddle has more simple designs (see photos). It also has what appears to be iron support pieces.
Appears to be in excellent condition! Metal and wood are unpolished and has patina throughout. The metal on the backside of the piece does have some wear areas (see photos). One iron support piece appears to have come un nailed.18 wide (between back legs).
