DEWI SRI GODDESS FROM BALI. Mobile wood carving of a flying goddess.

Beautiful item, a sweet presence hanging in any room. Spectacularly carved and painted with multicoloured paints.

Suspends from a small hook with three strings. Bought from an antique shop in Denpasar, Bali 1988. Wings, arms and one leg have been attached ie not carved from a single piece of wood.

Most items were collected by ourselves while we were living and working in Papua New Guinea in the 1980's. We are now downsizing from our large old farmhouse to something more manageable for our age. Some carvings have signs of wear and tear due to age. Some have cracking which occurs as a result of taking items from the tropics to a colder, drier environment.
