Antique Custom Hand-forged JAMEE'S Hunting Skinning Fighting Knife from Mexico

This is a beautiful piece that I've owned for many years and I wish it could talk; I bought it in Texas in the late 1980's and it has always looked as it does today, despite the fact I've used it in the field to dress game--mostly whitetail deer. The knife itself is a primitive work of art, 10.25" long with a stiff and hand-forged 5.75" carbon steel blade.

He is reputed to have used old Ford and Chevy leaf-springs to make his blades, and that is some GREAT spring steel with which to do so. He was active there from the 1920's through the 1940's but this is definitely one of his older pieces, made with iron-pinned handles; later ones had factory-made brass compression rivets. Comes in the original old sheath in which I bought it--no idea if it's original or not but it's equal to the knife, just flat out excellent. Please think "yard sale" or "flea market" not "Walmart" or Nordstroms.

If we've really screwed up, that's different, but I promise you that won't happen. That should work well for both of us.
